Located in the Dolomites mountain range, these two valleys stand out not only for their beautiful scenery, but also for having an ethnic group with their own native language, Ladin. This culture has survived in a very small number of valleys in Northern Italy for centuries. Boasting spectacular climbing gardens, Val Gardena and Val Badia also have a long and important tradition of climbing.
